The Quiet Strengths of an Introvert.

Being an introvert doesnโ€™t mean you canโ€™t lead or influence. It means you do it differently, leveraging your strengths to achieve your goals.

โ€œI am an introvert. I cant engage people as a facilitator.โ€

โ€œI am an introvert. I cant speak well on stage.โ€

โ€œI am an introvert. Itโ€™s difficult for me to get people to like me.โ€

Three introverts, in three separate occasions, told me ONE common belief - introverts are at a disadvantage.

Hey, let me tell you this โ€“ I AM AN INTROVERT TOO! 101%!

๐Ÿƒ I love entire days of solitude, totally disconnected from the world. Loved ones included (sorry, folks, now you know!).

๐Ÿƒ After half a day of putting myself out in the world, I sigh a huge relief the moment I enter home and close the door behind me.

๐Ÿƒ Solo trips are my need for recharge.

๐Ÿƒ Putting myself out in the market is essential in my solopreneurship. Yet publicity is awkward to me. It makes me feel โ€˜nakedโ€™.

๐Ÿƒ I was often told my presentations were engaging. The truth is, I gain energy in quiet introspection than in public speaking.

๐Ÿƒ I coach. I have no excuse for not communicating and interacting well.

Many skills - communications, facilitation, publicity, can be learned. Theyโ€™re not dictated by personality. You may not gain energy from such activities for a start, but it doesnโ€™t mean you CANNOT thrive in them.

Being an introvert doesnโ€™t mean you canโ€™t lead or influence.

It means you do it differently. You leverage your strengths to achieve your goals.

CliftonStrengths shows me my natural strengths to leverage:

๐ŸŽˆ I form deep 1-on-1 connections even with strangers, even in networking events. Itโ€™s not the quantity but the quality that counts.

๐ŸŽˆ I build bridges, and connect people.

๐ŸŽˆ I see each personโ€™s uniqueness, instinctively recognise potential, and know how to bring out their best.

๐ŸŽˆ I have strong emotional depth, making people feel truly understood.

๐ŸŽˆ I love thinking, reflecting, and distilling clarity from complexity.

๐ŸŽˆ I trust my instincts and lead with confidence in uncertainty. Because of my certainty, I lead the way for others.

I am an introvert, but Iโ€™m NOT disadvantaged.

Neither are you.

Stop seeing introversion as a limitation. Choose to tap into your strengths instead. Know that when you ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ฌ, you build your presence, however introverted you are.
